My chapter dealt with Internet searching. I learned that most people tend to use the first or second listing on Google. I have to admit that I fall into that category. It was surprising to learn that companies actually pay money to get top spots. Every time someone clicks on their site it can cost them anywhere from .30 to $3.00! I thought, “ if you don’ t like a company, just spend all day clicking on their site and rack up their bill. If you like a company, then be sure to only click the minimum.”
The chapter gives good ideas about using a variety of search engines to find the information you are looking for. The example used is if you were looking for tools, you would go to Hardware store. If you were looking for office supplies you wouldn’t go to a farm and ranch store. Bottom line, search smarter.
