I found the website idea interesting. Having the kids create and manage their own site is a great idea! Using "Reverse Mentoring" is even better. I like the idea of having the a group of kids mentor me. I am not exactly sure how to even start, but I plan on finding out. Empowering kids to take charge of their own learning is wonderful strategy.

Chapter 2

Our buddy Alan doesn't want us to focus our energy on using technology, but rather on learning. This is novel thought. Sometimes we tend measure our success by how technology we can fit into day. I know I have been guilty of that. I think it has to do with all the new toys I received and wanting to make good us of them. He is right, in the future technology will become very easy to use. We need to prepare our for the future. Creating connections to the outside world is important in Alan's view. Using video conferencing to make connections with parents at home.
